There are millions of people in the world with tinnitus, but methods to stop tinnitus will vary for each person, depending on how severe the tinnitus is and the individual”s own personal conditions. So far there is no technical medical cure to stop tinnitus, but that doesn”t mean that stopping tinnitus is not possible. This just means that there isn”t one cure-all that will work for all tinnitus symptoms; but that”s okay. There are actually several different methods for treating tinnitus and depending on who you are and what level your tinnitus is at, there is bound to be one method that will work for you. Here are some methods to stop tinnitus.

Lifestyle changes as tinnitus cure

Most of the time, tinnitus can be stopped by making a few different lifestyle changes. There are two main ways a person can stop tinnitus; by using tinnitus maskers and by wearing a hearing aid. Any types of sound or noise that can be used to mask the internal sounds or noises can be considered a tinnitus masker. Lots of tinnitus treatment programs use maskers to stop tinnitus because they are simple, non-expensive, and very effective. Fans are often used as a tinnitus masker, as well as the static from a radio, and various music selections such as ocean waves or a tropical rainforest. Hearing aids are also very simple. They work by making all outside sounds seem louder than they actually are, which drowns out the internal sounds and makes them less noticeable.

Natural cure for tinnitus

Another effective method for stopping tinnitus is by taking the natural route. The two most popular ways to stop tinnitus naturally are by taking vitamins and herbs. The three main vitamins are zinc, magnesium, and niacin and all of them have worked for people looking to stop their tinnitus. Ginkgoo biloba is on the only herb that is necessary for tinnitus treatment. It has been used by the Chinese century after century and has been proven to help prevent tinnitus symptoms. If tinnitus causes your ears to ring stop tinnitus today by trying ginkgo biloba.

Tinnitus medication

When lifestyle changes are not enough, you may need to resort to tinnitus medication. The most popular tinnitus treatment medications used to stop tinnitus include anti-depressants, Xanax, Klonopin, and anti-histamines. Tinnitus medicine can be very useful to some people with severe symptoms, but one should always proceed with caution as harmful side effects are a possibility. Medication is often reserved for those who do not benefit from lifestyle changes and natural tinnitus treatment methods.

How long does it take for severe B12 deficiency to subside after treatment?

I am a healthy-ish teen female and for the last year or so I have had symptoms of severe B12 deficiency, but I never even thought that I might actually be sick until a friend mentioned that I might be anemic. My symptoms include:
-vision changes
-unsteadiness
-poor memory
-chest pains
-abdominal pains
-heart palpitations
-confusion
-apathy
-jerky movements
-reduced cognitive function
-tinnitus
…and a few others. I started taking a high-potency multi-vitamin a couple days ago and I was just curious as to how long it should take for my symptoms to start going away. I also read that sometimes B12 deficiency is sometimes caused by and impaired ability to absorb the vitamin, if this ends up being my case, how is it treated? I don’t have a history of impaired B12 absorption so Im sure the vitamin will do fine, but I was just curious. All info appreciated, thanks!

Jade, STOP! There is a strong probability that you do NOT have a severe vitamin B12 deficiency. If you did, it would be due to a failure of your body to absorb B12 in your digestive system, or your body producing a substance which blocks a normal body absorption of B12. The disease resulting is called “pernicious anemia or PA.” The diagnosis is simple with a routine CBC (complete blood cell count) and a couple of chemistry tests, both of which your doctor can order and get done from a simple small blood sample. NEVER is a diagnosis of PA made from symptoms alone. Young ladies, however, often do have a simple anemia from not taking in sufficient iron or losing too much blood monthly. A person who truly has PA is most often treated with a simple vitamin B12 injection once a month or less. True PA can lead to nerve damage and death if not properly treated. A shot of B-12 usually begins to show a healing effect within 2 to 3 days and can last up to 8 months. Now, stop guessing and see your doctors to get an accurate diagnosis, Good luck.

Single-sided Deafness… (left ear)?

does anyone have this same problem and is also suffering from tinnitus from their hearing ear? I visited a doctor about my hearing and unfortunetly I can’t get my hearing back in my left ear and now i’m facing hearing problems in my right ear due to tinnitus (ringing in the ear) but the doctor’s told me it’s due to stress, caffeine intake etc. however I have refrained from all of these and my tinnitus dosent seem to be affected by those things, instead it’s rather random it sometimes grow loud enough that I have a tough time hearing people. sometimes it goes away and life becomes normal… but this is 50/50. It frustrates me cause it makes me seem very reserved and it’s hard to explain my hearing situation to every new person I meet and it becomes really awkward when I pretend I heard what they said and give them such a random answer that they’d look at me confused. If there is anyone facing this same problem how did you overcome it? I daresay I might go completely deaf in the future
